Seven Decades’Love for the SWUPL, All Directions’Contribution to the SWUPL. On September 18-19, in the countdown to the 70th Anniversary of the Southwest University of Political Science and Law, Beijing King & Wood Mallesons Law Firm and Readysun Investment Group donated RMB 1.5 million and 2.4 million to support talent training and library’s IC construction project. The“intimate friends”gave a generous gift to the university in the occasion of the Anniversary Celebration, and became the “ambassador”of passing on the force of SWUPL.

On the morning of September 19, the signing ceremony of the SWUPL’s library IC construction project donated by Readysun Investment Group was successfully held in the second floor hall of the library. Fu Zitang (Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the SWUPL), Liu Ge (Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the SWUPL), Feng Qinghua (President of Shenzhen Readysun Investment Group) and persons-in-charge of relevant units attended the signing ceremony.
According to the Agreement, Readysun Investment Group will donate RMB 2.4 million for the SWUPL’s library IC construction project. It is understood that the project, by incorporating the latest IC space concepts and technologies at home and abroad, carries out a tailored IC space construction and transformation for the library from the physical, virtual and operation and maintenance layers in the library’s IC space concept. Especially, it will make zoning plan for public space, intelligent seminar room, recreation area and service desk with different functional attributes, and equip the library with one-stop information interaction software and hardware platform, such as IC space management system platform, reservation management system, route navigation system, intelligent access control system, and touch digital reading system. It will build a one-stop collaborative learning environment in the SWUPL’s library, and improve the cultural atmosphere and overall image of the library.
Fu Zitang stresses that “it coincides with the SWUPL’s 70th Anniversary, and choosing to sign the agreement today is of great significance. Because the library is the most critical part of a university, donation by alumni Feng Qinghua breaks some of the restrictions in the university’s construction in recent years, and helps our campus construction. Active contribution by alumni Feng Qinghua to the construction of the library embodies the perseverant spirit of staying with the SWUPLers. I hope that the teachers and students who benefit from this construction can learn from alumni Feng Qinghua for his compassion, responsibility and dedication towards the alma mater.
“Sense of ceremony is very important for it can bring a lot of things. The donation is more to thank my alma mater for this most important part of education experience in my life as an undergraduate student. This solemn and sacred library has taught me how to study and read, which has completely changed my fate”, lamented Feng Qinghua.
Subsequently, President Fu Zitang presented a donation certificate and cultural products for the anniversary celebration and expressed his gratitude to Shenzhen Readysun Investment Group. Vice President Liu Ge conducted a signing ceremony with alumni Feng Qinghua.

On the afternoon of September 18, the signing ceremony for the donation by Beijing King & Wood Mallesons Law Firm for the SWUPL’s 70th Anniversary was held in the first conference room of Qinye Building. Yue Caishen (Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the SWUPL), Liu Ge (Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of the SWUPL), He Wei (Partner of Beijing King & Wood Mallesons Law Firm and alumni of Class of 1987), Wang Hui (Partner of Beijing King & Wood Mallesons Law Firm and alumni of Class of 1987), as well as the partners and alumni from King & Wood Mallesons Law Firm in Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other places attended the signing ceremony.
According to the Agreement, Beijing King & Wood Mallesons Law Firm will donate RMB 1.5 million for the establishment of King & Wood Mallesons College’s“Cultivation Program for Young Legal Talents”and“King & Wood Mallesons SWUPL Alumni Scholarship”to support the University's construction for“Double First-Class”. Since our University’s cooperation with King & Wood Mallesons in 2017, scholarships such as “King & Wood Mallesons Elite” have not only benefited many SWUPL students, but also made King & Wood Mallesons the“Promised Land”in the dreams of SWUPL students. The “King & Wood Mallesons Cup”Postgraduate Debating Competition has helped SWUPL students improve their ability; the “King & Wood Mallesons Yuxiu Scholar Award” has created a culture of respect for teachers and education. With the efforts of the alumni, the “King & Wood Mallesons” element and the SWUPL’s spirit are complementary to each other.
