Teachers and Students from Chuo University Visited SWUPL for Exchanges

On the morning of September 10th, in order to strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, School of Economics welcomed the delegation of six teachers and students from Departments of Economics of Chuo University at Room 5032 of Jing Ye Building. Professor Chen Gang, also Deputy Dean of School of Economics, Professor Han Zhenguo, Associate Professor Zhu Jun, Associate Professor Fu Ning, Dr. Lin Yongqiang, Dr. Cong Lian, Dr. He Feng and other young teachers as well as more than ten students from School of Economics attended the symposium. Associate Professor Cheng Tianmin acted as the interpreter.

 

At the beginning of the symposium, Japanese students, divided into two groups, made an introduction on issues of population decline and the aging problem as well as tourist sightseeing in Japan, which covered fields including economic development and social structure. Student attendees of SWUPL had discussions with Japanese students on concerned topics of human resource allocation, development of tourist industry and so on. They said that the exchanges enhanced their understanding of Japanese society and culture. Later, Professor Hiroshige Tanaka introduced the sustainable development mode of global community, deepening conferees' insights into this topic.

 

The symposium provided a platform of international exchanges for teachers and students of School of Economics. Both sides expressed that they could develop scientific research cooperation in fields of common concern and promote mutual exchanges by means of visits in the future.
