  On the morning of December 8th, the opening ceremony of the 6th China WTO Moot Court Competition and the WTO  Law argumentation practice Forum were held in the mock court of Duxing building.

  Executive vice president of WTO Law Research Society of China Law Society, professor of Tsinghua University School of Law Yang Guohua, director of Institute of International Economic Law of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, vice president of WTO Law Research Society of China Law Society Liu Jingdong, director of  the Department of Treaty and Law of the Ministry ofthe Foreign Affairs Song Dong, partner of Global Law Office, Lawyer Ren Qing, scholars from WTO Law Research Society of China Law Society, lawyers from domestic first-class law offices like Gaopeng、 Deheng、 Global、 Allbright、 JT&N、 and Zhonglun, scholars from University of International Business and Economics and Nankai University, vice president of Southwest University of Political Science & Law Yue Caishen, dean of School of International Law of SWUPL Zhang Xiaojun and secretary of CPC General Branch of School of International Law of SWUPL Song Yulin attended the opening ceremony and forum.

  At the opening ceremony, vice president Yue Caishen made a welcome speech on behalf of the organizing committee of the 6th China WTO Moot Court Competition and announced the opening of it. Then, Mr.Liu Jingdong, Lawyer Ren Qing, Mr.Song Dong and Mr.Yang Guohua spoke in turn at the WTO Law Practice Forum. They shared some practical experiences of international law they accumulated in these years, gave some suggestions to  the activities of mock court, discussed the new situation, new mission and new measures for the cultivation of foreign-related legal talents. After speeches, the 4 experts communicated with the students. The students asked questions actively, that created a very warm and harmonious atmosphere.

  Cultivating foreign-related legal talents is beneficial for China to integrate into the international society, make full use of international rules to resolve international disputes, safeguard national sovereignty and social interests and promote social and economic development. Under the new situation, students should stay true to the mission and keep the faith, work hard and be a lawyer who has international vision, understands international rules, could handle international affairs and safeguard national interests.
