SWUPL’s First Sino-foreign Juris Master’s Educational Cooperation Program Approved by the MOE of China
The Ministry of Education of China (MOE) has recently issued a list of approved Sino-foreign educational cooperation programs, including SWUPL’s Juris Master’s educational cooperation Program with Case Western Reserve University (CWRU).
The Juris Master’s educational cooperation Program with CWRU is the first Sino-foreign cooperation program for SWUPL in postgraduates’ education. With the cultivating model” Double master degrees& Double campus” and the training orientation towards international disputes solving, the programs will be launched in September 2017. The running patterns will be” One system& Two campus& Three years’ scholastic year system” which requires a three-year length of schooling. The eligible students will first finish school in both CWRU and SWUPL and those who are qualified for requirements of Juris Master Program of both schools will obtain master’s law degrees from both schools.
Case Western Reserve University is a top-ranked private research university, a national university of the United States, as well as the core member of Association of American Universities (AAU). Founded in 1892, Case Western Reserve University School of Law is one of the oldest law schools in America. US News and World Report names Case Western Reserve University School of Law among the top 25 law school in America in academic outputs, and top11 in International Law.
CWRU and SWUPL signed the academic cooperation agreement in 2009 and became experienced in students & teachers exchange and research collaboration. Both school have made early preparation and communications to reach consensus in joint training program, course system, textbook selection as well as teacher arrangement and also designed an integratively cultivating and instructional program.
