On November 8, Michael Scharf, Dean of CWRU Law School and Timothy Webster, Director of Asian Studies of CWRU paid a visit to SWUPL and discussed the cooperation on Juris Master Program.
Vice principal Yuan Yongxin attended the meeting and briefly reviewed the history of cooperation between CWRU and SWUPL. He pointed out that, the joint Juris Master Program is based on the long-existing friendly bilateral cooperation between the two universities and hoped that the program will serve to cultivate more law talents for China and accelerate economic growth in Chongqing.
Dean Mike Scharf gives a general introduction of CWRU Law School and preparations for the cooperation.
At the meeting, the two universities discussed the approval and implementation of the project , and confirmed the corporation on tuition waiver, curricula and so on.
Guo Meisong, Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, hosted the forum. Several school officials attended the forum as well，including Li Yan, Dean of Graduate School, Qin Jie, Deputy Director of International Cooperation and Exchange Office, Pei Pu, Deputy Dean of School of International Law , together with Zhang Chunliang, Associate Professor of School of International Law.
