The first criminal justice forum held in SWUPL
On November 9, host by our school's procedural law and judicial reform research center and organized by the criminal defense research center , "the first criminal justice forum" was hold in the academic lecture hall on the first floor in Yucai building. There are more than 60 scholars and experts from the national colleges of political science, scientific research institutions and public security, and judicial organs attending the forum,
This forum invited following honorable participants : Researcher Minyuan Wang from the Chinese academy of social sciences institute of law , vice dean Yongzhong Gu from Procedural law institute of China university of politics and law, vice-chancellor of our university Pro.Changyong Sun, deputy chief procurator Qing Liu from the first branch of Chongqing people's procuratorate, president Jun Lu of people’s court in Chongqing Jiangbei district. And the Secretary of CPC Branch Pro. Chuanqiang Mei , vice dean Pro. Jinghai Shi of our university’s law college, also the director from evidence law research center Pro Jingui Pan attended the forum .Opening ceremony was host by the executive director vice professor Feng Gao from criminal defense research center. Vice-chancellor professor Changyong Sun delivered a welcome speech and outlined the whole forum in the closing ceremony. The forum lasted for 1 day. The forum was around four themes including "trial centered lawsuit system reform ", "jury system reform and people’s participation in justice ", "deepen the system and practice of criminal defense under the background of the judicial system reform", " be lenient of the pleaded guilty to forfeit system in criminal procedure”, divided into three units, the specializes made the headed and in-depth discussion through the keynote report, free speech and group comments. They devoted to proposing valuable advice and suggestion for the reform of criminal justice. This forum also solicited the theme papers in the beginning, ultimately selected the 3 papers for the first prize, 5 papers for the second prize, 10 papers for the third prize, and 10 papers in honorable mention.
