The sixth China-ASEAN Legal Forum focusing on ”One Belt One Road” regional rule of law
News: Presided by China Law Society, the sixth China-ASEAN Law Forum and “One Belt One Road” Law Forum was held in SWUPL from Nov 16th to Nov 18th. 200 delegates from China and ASEAN gathered together, discussing the development of partnership between China and ASEAN and the construction of government by law in the “One Belt One Road” policy. Forum adopted the "Chongqing Declaration" and signed to build a "China - ASEAN ' One Belt One Road ' Regional Law Research Consortium" framework agreement, which marks the China - ASEAN Community building further fate, building regional law and academic exchanges will also link more and more frequent.

In 2005, the first forum from Aug 31th to Sep 4th was held in Nanning, Guangxi. On the closing ceremony of the forum, the "Nanning Declaration" was adopted. The second session of the Forum was held in 2006 from Dec 14th to 17th in Halong Bay, Vietnam. The third and fourth forum was held in Chongqing, from Sep 12th to 15th in 2007 and from Nov 10th to 14th in 2010. The fifth forum was held from Sep 25th to 27th in 2011 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. From Dec 20th to 22th in 2014, “South Asia, Southeast Asia, China Legal Cooperation Consultation-cum-seminar on maritime law in the 21st century Silk Road” was held in Tengchong, Yunnan.
ASEAN Law Association was set up in 1979. As a NGO, it provides a common platform for judges, lawyers, government officials and so on. ASEAN Law Association works on promoting the communication, understanding and harmony of regional law, and plays a necessary role in promoting ASEAN integration in the key issues and policies.
